Introducing Me

 




    Hi! My name is Aliya Stead, but I go by Ali as Aliya is what my parents call me when I am in trouble. I am currently a first year student dual enrolling to hopefully become an interior designer through OSU's college of business. I graduated high school last year as valedictorian, and am excited for what is to come. 
    I am currently taking BA 223 in order to fulfill one of my prerequisites for my interior design program application. However, I am very excited to discover how businesses use psychology and human behavior to predict consumer trends. I love talking and being around people so this is probably the aspect of business that intrigues me most and am very excited to learn about it!
    I am not a business or marketing major as mentioned above, but I am going through the college of business at OSU, and then obviously taking courses at LB to get those classes. I am hopefully going to major in interior design as said above, but that requires business classes as it is through the college of business, which I am very glad about. This will allow me to have knowledge extending beyond simply design aspects, and will help me know about how businesses run. 
    Outside of college, I love to do anything outside. I love running, hiking, paddle boarding and pretty much all outdoor activities, especially if I have a friend to do them with. However, my favorite things ever are water sports such as wake surfing and wakeboarding. My family has been big into wakeboard boats since before I was born, so I grew up behind a boat. Wakesurfing is my all time favorite thing to do, and I would do it all day every day if I could. Due to this, I am kind of a nerd when it comes to that sorts of stuff and could talk about it all day long. We often spend at least a month on the water in the summertime, and is actually one of the reasons my dad decided to be a teacher(so we could spend a lot more time on the water). This makes me sound super intense and maybe pretty good at it, but I'm really not that good when it comes to the different sports. But I love to keep trying new things and am so excited for the sun to come out because that means summer is right around the corner!

Social Listening

            I have recently been interested in improving my skincare routine. My skin has never been particularly horrible, but it isn’t always the best and I’ve hoped that creating a regular skincare routine would help clear up my skin. In order to do this, I wanted to get the best skincare products available. I know not all products work with my skin, and I also know most brands try to promote their products in the description. With this in mind, I went to social media to see how different people rated different products.  A few months ago people were raving about the brand Ordinary and their peel off mask type product. I have seen a lot more content about their products since that craze, and have become more prominent on my for you page .
